Martina Hingis Marrys Show Jumper Thibault Hutin

Former world number 1 and five time grand slam champion Martina Hingis is no longer single. She married French show jumper Thibault Hutin last December 10, 2010 in a private civil ceremony in Paris, according to Swiss newspaper Sonntags Blick.



"Our wedding may take some by surprise, but it has all been planned for some time." the paper quotes the bride as saying of the couple's ceremony.

The ceremony took place at city hall in the Paris suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine and was followed with a small family reception in the Presidential Suite of Paris's Hotel George V. A traditional Swiss wedding feast will be celebrated next spring.

The couple started their romance when they met at a show-jumping competition in St. Tropez in April, shortly after Martina broke off a long-term engagement to Swiss attorney Andreas Bieri.

The couple will spend their honeymoon in Maldives.
